What are the key features of our lens?

Eye health is at the forefront of our lens design. We researched sport lens technology to develop a better lens for everyday protection and performance.

What is the best way to clean my lenses?

To clean your lenses, simply rinse them with a mild dish soap and lukewarm water, and dry them with our cleaning cloth.

How durable are your lenses?

Our mineral sun lenses are naturally scratch resistant and tempered to resist breakage. They have a higher impact resistance than plastic lenses. We’ve tested them by dropping a 65 gram steel ball from a height of 3 meters. Compared with a plastic lens that breaks at 2 meters, we think that’s pretty durable.

Can I put prescription lenses in my sunglasses?

We currently do not offer prescription sun lenses at this time. If you’d like to put prescription lenses in your Just Human sunglasses, they are prescription ready.

Are our lenses polarized?

Our lenses are non-polarized. Polarized lenses are more so a matter of preference and lifestyle. Our lenses are designed for the urban lifestyle so they won't interfere with your digital device screens. Polarized rays shouldn’t be confused with UVA and UVB rays, which are harmful to the eye. UV coverage is highly recommended and already included in all our lenses.

Our proprietary Blue Light Classic lenses filter up to 15x more blue light and protects against eyestrain, headaches and fatigue caused by excessive screen time.

Do Just Human Blue Light Classic lenses reduce glare?

Glare is emitted from many sources of light, including digital screens such as
desktop monitors, laptop screens, phone screens, tablets, and TVs. It is a
common and often overlooked culprit of Digital Eye Strain. Symptoms of DES (also known as Computer Vision Syndrome), which could include eye strain, dry eyes, blurred vision, and headaches.

Are Blue Light Classic glasses available in prescription or readers?

Just Human Blue Light Classic glasses are available in non-prescription, prescription, and reader magnifications of +0.25, +0.5, +1.0, +1.5, +2.0, and +2.5. We can fill prescriptions with a spherical value (SPH) between +2.00 and -3.00 up to a -/+ 2.00 cylinder (CYL).

What are Blue Light Max glasses?

Our Blue Light Max lenses offer an enhanced way to filter the range of Blue Light that impacts melatonin secretion (440-500 nm wavelengths) to improve the quality
of your sleep. Our clinically proven Max lens acts as a natural sleep aid
that minimizes color distortion despite the lens tint.

When should I wear my Blue Light Max glasses?

Put on your Blue Light Max glasses in the evening when you come home or when the sun goes down until you go to bed. The longer you wear them, the more effective they are in assisting you with a better night’s rest.

Are Max glasses available in prescription or readers?

Just Human Blue Light Max glasses are available in non-prescription, prescription, and reader magnifications of +0.25, +0.5,

Will Blue Light Max glasses affect my color perception?

Just Human Blue Light Max lenses were engineered to minimize color distortion despite the lens tint. This way, you don’t have to worry about looking through yellow tinted lenses that drastically affect color perception. They look good too!

What material are Just Human Blue Light Max lenses made of?

Just Human Blue Light Max lenses are made from a super lightweight (1.56 Index) and impact resistant material. It has a very high Abbe value and is optically superior to polycarbonate lenses. While the lens tint is more yellow than our Blue Light Classic lens, our Max lens specifically filters the range of Blue Light that is most disruptive to our natural sleep cycle in the 440 nm - 500 nm range.

What’s your shipping policy?

We offer free shipping and hassle free returns in the US within 30 days of delivery.

When can I expect my order?

Good news! You can expect your order in 2-3 days within the continental U.S. Orders shipped to Canada can take up to 3-5 days. We currently ship to the U.S. (Including Alaska and Hawaii) and Canada.

Do you accept international orders?

We currently only ship to the United States and Canada.  We are working on expanding our shipping destinations.

How much does international shipping cost?

International shipping to Canada is free however non-US customers are responsible for payment of any duties, import taxes, brokerage or customs fees associated with an international shipment. Duties and taxes are nonrefundable.

What is your return policy?

Please email at support@justhuman.co to start domestic returns or exchanges within 30 days of purchase for all items that have no signs of wear or damage with all original packaging. All returns and exchanges must be initiated no later than 30 days from the date that your order arrives to you! All refunds will be made to the original method of payment within 15 days of receiving your order.

International orders: Just Human will gladly accept returns for any non-prescription or single vision prescription lens order* within 30 days of delivery. *Single vision prescription lens orders are subject to a $50 restocking fee for international orders.

International Return Shipping: Kindly note you will be responsible for international return shipping. We suggest you choose a trackable shipping service as Just Human is not responsible for any theft or loss during transport.

FIT

Where can I find my frame’s measurements?

The measurements can be found on the left temple (ex. 50-24-147) The numbers from left to right stand for: Lens Width, Bridge Width, Temple Arm Length in mm. If you already have a pair that you like, you can compare measurements to see how our sunglasses will fit you.

How do I get my frames adjusted?

Our frames can easily be adjusted at any optical shop using a frame warmer. Most optical shops will make minor adjustments for free or for a small fee.

Which frames are best suited for a low bridge fit?

The best low bridge fit is our Bold Square 01 and Modern Cat 01.

What is your commitment to sustainability?

Our mission is to make a product that is better for people and the planet. We want to introduce people to a more conscious, more responsible way of buying everyday products. We’re ruthlessly responsible, we set out to find a better way using natural and recycled materials.

Design Philosophy:

Chic Circularity – Iconic-style and responsible materials, we focused on the entire system from design and material selection to manufacturing and packaging.

Faces Not Gender – Unisex and universal, engineered to fit and function on all face shapes. We want as few designs as possible to be adopted by as many humans as possible.

Functional Design – We researched sport lens technology to design function back into a fashion accessory and develop a better performing lens for everyday.

Made for forever – One of the most environmentally responsible things we can do is make sunglasses that endure for a lifetime not a season.

Our materials: All of our materials come from natural and sustainable sources and we use recycled materials whenever possible. Our frames are made from reforested soft wood trees that are FSC® certified. Our lenses are made using sand and minerals and all our lens off-cuts in the manufacturing process are recycled into new lenses. Our sunglass case is made from an innovative leather alternative called Piñatex® made from the waste of pineapple leaf fibers. The inner liner of our case and our cleaning cloth is made from recycled water bottles.

Our Packaging: We designed our packaging with a minimal and waste free approach. We use 100% post-consumer recycled materials for our shipping box, eco-friendly inks and bio-compostable tape.

Where are your products made?

Our products are designed in Los Angeles and manufactured in Japan, Italy and Los Angeles. We work with only the most reputable manufacturers who are known for their craftsmanship and ethical manufacturing.

What's unique about my sunglasses?

Every single one of our sunglasses are handmade and unique. The colors of our bio-material differ from each batch which means there can be slight color and pattern variations. Our first collection is from a limited production batch. Each pair is numbered on the inside of the temple.
